15th September 2006: FPS Creator Upgrade 1.03 RC1 was released onto our forums today for beta testing. This Upgrade introduces a full load/save game feature and fixes reported speed issues. Please note that 1.03 is only a beta at this moment in time, the full version will be released here when ready. Forum membership is required to download this release.

1st August 2006: Two brand new Model Packs are coming out in the next few months. One features lots of new fully animated characters, the other lots of new building segments. You can see sneak previews of both of them in the August TGC Newsletter available here.

3rd July 2006: Today we released the latest version of the FPS Creator Game Source Code + all required DLLs to get it compiling. You will need DarkBASIC Professional Version 6.2 (full version, not the trial) to compile the code. You will also need the 6.2 Extras archive, which you can download from the same page. Make absolutely sure you have DirectX 9.0c FEB 2006 edition (or later) installed. Upgrade DBPro to 6.2. Then unzip the Extras file into your DBPro folder. This will install various new DLLs including a special version of the Expansion Pack specifically for FPSC. Inside the Projects folder you will find the FPSC Game source code.

23rd March 2006: The new FPS Creator Model Pack #2 is now available. With 71 new objects for your games, from spinning ceiling fans, to bulldozers, to zombie scientists. Check it out.

15th February 2006: We have released the Entity Maker and 20 minutes worth of video tutorial files for it. You can get it from the Downloads page.

3rd February 2006: Development work on FPS Creator Upgrade 1 is currently under-way. FPS Creator Model Pack 2 is also in production and will focus on modern-day scenery and objects.

1st February 2006: FPS Creator has now been fully translated into French and is available from Focus Multimedia, France.

2005 News Archive

20th December: FPS Creator has been published in the United States by Enteractive. The US version features a brand new box, but the software itself remains identical in all respects. FPS Creator is now available in computer stores through-out the US including CompUSA, Best Buy and Amazon.

31st October: We have released the first FPS Creator Model Pack today. It features new characters, objects, room types and more. Check out the Model Pack page for more details.

7th October: We have released the Character Studio BIP files for FPS Creator, so you can now modify the animations and learn how to export them correctly.

6th October: The new look FPS Creator site goes live. We're currently preparing some new videos for you and some exclusive map downloads! So stay tuned.

22nd September: After nearly 3 years of development FPS Creator V1 is officially released today.

13th September: We've just released the Segment Editor Kit (225MB)

7th September: New Trial Version is available for download.
